About

I am an architect, researcher, and educator working at the intersection of architecture, responsible AI, and social and environmental justice. I combine research and design to produce work that supports more inclusive and sustainable futures.

I am currently a Researcher at KTH Royal Institute of Technology (Stockholm), where I lead design-based research on AI, equality, and sustainability. Previously, I was a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) Postdoctoral Fellow at KTH (EQUBUILD).

Alongside research, I contribute to architectural education through lecturing and studio teaching, and through international teaching roles including Columbia GSAPP and ETSAM, where I have directed research-by-design workshops and supervised students.

My background also includes professional practice as founder of Campo Ruiz Architect – Less Waste Architecture Office and @equbuild..

In parallel with my academic work, I support institutions and design teams with responsible AI questions in the built environment, affecting equality and environmental impact.

I help institutions and design teams apply responsible AI in the built environment to reduce inequality and environmental harm by translating research into decision tools and design strategies. I am passionate about leveraging AI, and creativity to drive positive change.

My work has been awarded the First Prize for Research Career at the European Commission MSCA International Conference 2024, the William Kinne Fellowship from Columbia University, and two Caja Madrid Foundation Fellowships.

I earned an International PhD in Advanced Architectural Projects from the Madrid Polytechnic University UPM, Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura de Madrid ETSAM, Spain. I received a Master of Science in Advanced Architectural Design and I graduated from the Advanced Architectural Research Program, both at Columbia University, Graduate School of Architecture, Planning, and Preservation, GSAPP, New York. I studied architecture at Madrid Polytechnic University and the Copenhagen School of Architecture.

My work has been exhibited in Stockholm, Brussels, Torino, and Madrid.
